VIDEO: WDEL's Amy Cherry reports with video from NBC 10.A Delaware cemetery has turned into a flower buffet for deer.
WDEL's Amy Cherry explains.
At All Saints Catholic Cemetery on Kirkwood Highway, they have had a tougher-than-normal time keeping white tail deer away from the nice, fresh flowers families leave.
Some families return and find just the stems of their beautiful roses or tulips are left.
"It is devastating to our families who would come back out after placing a fresh cut arrangement or potted plant and find nothing but stems that the deer have fed on," Thomas Kane, Superintendent of All Saints Catholic Cemetery told NBC 10.
Kane says they're asking families to leave artificial flowers or other items that hungry deer won't find quite so appetizing.
