Foles breaks hand, Vick likely to start
Updated Wednesday, December 26, 2012 - 5:20am
It looks as if Michael Vick will be back on the field for the Eagles for Sunday's season finale against the New York Giants.
That's because Nick Foles has a hairline fracture in his throwing hand. He was hurt just before halftime last Sunday against Washington, but finished the game after x-rays were negative. But an MRI revealed the injury earlier this week.
Foles set several Eagles records for a rookie quarterback this season, but that hasn't been reflected in the team's record - the Birds were 1-5 in the six games he started.
Vick hasn't played since suffering a concussion during a loss to the Cowboys on Nov. 11. He was recently cleared to return. If it's not Vick under center this weekend, it would fall to third-string quarterback Trent Edwards, who hasn't played yet this year.
