Kelly says yes to Eagles
By Don Voltz

The Eagles will introduce new head coach Chip Kelly this afternoon.

In a move that took nearly everyone by surprise, the Eagles announced Wednesday they had hired the Oregon head coach, after he had turned down the Eagles, Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills and said he was staying at Oregon.

But Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens says Kelly told him this was an opportunity that doesn't come around all the time.

"The only thing our conversation was about this morning is, he relayed to me that he's thought long and hard over it the last 10 days, and in fact, it was a challenge that he's always wanted to take. And that he wasn't sure that the opportunity would present itself again. So he felt like this was the right one at the right time."
