| VIDEO: Highlights of Hodgson vs St E | Bilal Nichols' 18 points canceled out a huge game from Andre Patton as Hodgson held on to defeat St. Elizabeth 58-53 Tuesday night at the Saint E Center.
Hodgson led 36-29 at the half, and then 45-38 following Bryan Daniels' three-pointer, but then a pair of threes by Ryan Cason and a third by Andre Patton sparked a 9-2 run to tie the game.
The Silver Eagles' defense held from there however, allowing just three field goals the rest of the way for Saint Elizabeth, while a balanced mix of inside and outside offense proved to be the difference for Hodgson who improved to 10-2.
Guard Shay Cannon scored 11 points, while forward Nick Richards added 10, and LaQuin Stewart had 8 for Hodgson.
Patton finished with 30 points for St. Elizabeth, who dropped to 5-6.
