Stepman Kpana scored 14 points as Smyrna picked up an important road victory over Concord 46-45 in overtime Thursday night.

The Eagles led 31-24 going into the 4th quarter, but Jalen Thompson and the Raiders were able to rally to force overtime knotted at 39.

With the game tied at 41, Concord's Deshon Davis lost control of the basketball, and Smyrna's Ja'vier Worthy turned it into a conventional three-point play which gave the Eagles a win they would not relinquish.

Javon Hunter added 11 points for Smyrna who improved to 7-7, while Thompson's 14 points weren't enough for the Raiders, who dropped to 9-9.

1150AM WDEL will carry Smyrna's home game with Newark Saturday at 2pm.
