The opening night acts for the main stage at the 101st Delaware State Fair and a big-name comedian were announced Monday.
On the heels of announcing Dierks Bentley and TobyMac appearing during the July 2020 festival, breakout country star Chris Janson will open up the state fair with a little help from Michael Ray.
Representatives described Janson as a "platinum-selling recording artist, high-octane entertainer, multi-instrumentalist, and award-winning singer/songwriter" who released his first album four years ago and has been nominated three times for a County Music Award since then.
Ray has had two number one hits since his 2015 debut album and reached number three on the Billboard Country Charts with his second release.
They'll appear July 23rd with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. with tickets starting at $25.
On July 29th, one of the comedy scene's biggest names--Jim Gaffigan--will appear on the Delaware State Fair M&T Bank Grandstand. A five-time Grammy nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, and author, Gaffigan is known around the world for his observational humor.
Tickets begin at $35 and gates open at 6:30 p.m.
Finally, the Demolition Derby returns July 31st, with tickets for the "evening of car smashin’, hootin, hollerin’ and clappin’ fun" starting at just $10.
