Organizers said 2021's "Delaware's Giving Day" was a huge success, far exceeding the amount of money raised for Delaware non-profit groups at last year's event.

The final tally from the event, also called Do More 24, was nearly $2 million, eclipsing 2020's total of $390,691.

The funds were raised between 6 p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. Friday, and all 501(c)(3) non-profit groups in Delaware were eligible to take part.

More than 10,000 donations were made to nearly 400 non-profits in the state.
