A.I. duPont marches in the 2018 Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade

Before enjoying turkey and football, A.I. duPont's world-travelling marching band will make a stop in Philadelphia on Thanksgiving morning.

A.I. duPont was the only Delaware school to be selected as part of the group of 21 schools who will march down the Ben Franklin Parkway in one of the largest parades of its kind in the country.

The Tigers Marching Band joins schools from Georgia, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Florida, Alabama, Ohio, Louisiana, New Jersey, West Virginia, South Carolina, and New Hampshire.

Thursday's parade steps off at about 8:15 a.m. at 20th & JFK Boulevard, to begin the journey to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

If you miss them in Philadelphia Thursday, they're also scheduled to march inside the Concord Mall on Friday.

Wilmington's St. Ann School and St. Peter Cathedral will also have their choirs performing.
