A taste of January is heading our way.
A wild temperature swing is expected between Thursday, where daytime highs will be in the upper 50s or low 60s, and Thursday evening. NBC10 First Alert meteorologist Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz said rain moves in, and with it comes a chill in the air.
Temperatures will drop to 30 degrees by 10 p.m.
"By morning, it's feeling like the 20's," said Schwartz.
That cold will stay with us all day Friday.
"By day break Friday, just that cold gusty wind that we're going to be experiencing all day, and into Friday night, we have wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour, and the temperature is only 40 degrees, that's going to be pretty cold."
This weekend, Saturday will be the colder day of the weekend. Temperatures return to the 50s Sunday.
"You're talking about high temperatures that only get into the 30s that's not like November--that's the average temperature for January," said Schwartz. "We're not going to be, let's say, that far away from records."
January-like cold returns next week.
