A man arrested in connection to a salon shooting and then accidentally released has been re-apprehended, Dover Police announced Friday.
According to authorities, 27-year-old Dion Williams was arrested on first-degree assault charges on Friday, September 13, 2019, in connection to shooting on June 1, 2019, at Janaid's Salon.
Authorities said 31-year-old Julius Johnson, of the Dover area, was shot during the incident and succumbed to his injuries on July 5, 2019.
Following Williams arraignment, Williams was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution, but was later transported to the Kent County Court of Common Pleas to appear for an active warrant. A miscommunication from Dover Police to Capitol Police led to Williams being released once his capias was cleared.
Williams was arrested Thursday, September 19, 2019, in Laurinburg, North Carolina, and is awaiting extradition back to Delaware.
