For the second time in about six weeks, an attenuator truck protecting workers on a Delaware roadway was hit by an inattentive driver.

No injuries were reported in the accident around 10:15 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020, on Route 1 at the Route 6 overpass in Smyrna.

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) said their crew was patching potholes when the driver plowed into the back of the protective vehicle.

The driver told officials they didn't see the truck.

Delaware State troopers are investigating the crash.

It was January 16, 2020, when a similar crash took place on Interstate 95 at Marsh Road.
