An international hit musical with a memorable title continues its run through this weekend at the Delaware Theatre Company in Wilmington.

However, should Menopause The Musical give men pause? Absolutely not, according to one performer in the rollicking comedic musical.

Menopause The Musical from GFour Productions centers around four women who meet at the lingerie department of a store. They discover they are going through the same thing: "the change."

"It sure to make your cheeks hurt from laughing," Megan Cavanagh said. "We sing and dance through all the symptoms. It's just a really good time. We will make you laugh.

Beyond the hilarity, Cavanagh said a big part of Menopause The Musical is the interaction with the audience.

"I think it's because women relate so much to it. They feel like they're part of a sisterhood of what's going on on stage," Cavanagh said. "We've had people divulge very intimate aspects of their life to us as if we had been friends for 15 years or something."

Cavanagh added that she believes the show "empowers women and makes them realize they're not alone in what they're going through."

But fellas, don't worry: Cavanagh believes you'll have a good time, too.

"There are tons of men that come in very reluctantly and when they leave they tell  us 'my God, this is so funny, I learned a lot,'" Cavanagh said.
