Generic Shooting

Two individuals exchanged gunfire along Old Forge Drive in Dover early Sunday morning, city authorities announced Monday. 

According to Dover Police, a 21-year-old woman observed black males circling her vehicle in front of her residence in the 100 block of Old Forge Drive around 1:10 a.m. on November 3, 2019. 

When they walked away from her vehicle and stood near a black hatchback, the victim approached them after getting into her own vehicle and police said one of the men pulled out a handgun and fired several times, striking her vehicle in the rear passenger door. 

The victim, who open carries a handgun of her own, pulled out her own weapon and returned fire before fleeing in her vehicle, according to authorities. 

Police said no injuries were reported and no other property damage was sustained. 

The suspects all fled in the hatchback. One of the suspects was reportedly wearing a blue jacket.
