A fast-food burger chain in Claymont was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning, authorities announced Tuesday. 

According to Delaware State Police, a man entered the Burger King at 2911 Philadelphia Pike around 6:45 a.m. on September 9, 2019, and pulled a gun on an employee while demanding cash from the safe. 

After receiving an undisclosed amount, he fled on foot southbound along Philadelphia Pike without causing injury. He was described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, standing 5'7" to 5'8" and weighing 130 to 140 lbs, and wearing a fabric over his face.
