CSC

One of Delaware's oldest professional names is moving to Wilmington.

According to an announcement from Mayor Mike Purzycki's office Monday, business, legal, tax, and domain name security "world leader" CSC has purchased 112 South Front Street in Wilmington, formerly the 43,000 sq. ft., six-floor PA Railroad Building adjacent to the Wilmington train station.

Now branded "CSC Station", the station will undergo multi-million dollar renovations through Fall 2020, including installation of a new atrium and infrastructure upgrades throughout.

"The fact remains that Delaware is a great place for businesses of all sizes to put down roots, grow, and create good-paying jobs," said Governor John Carney. "We have a world-class workforce, a central location, and a quality of life that is second to none. We’re really pleased with this investment from CSC, which is another vote of confidence in our state, in the City of Wilmington, and the potential for growth in our largest city."

Purzycki called the addition of CSC within city limits "very fortunate."

"We are very pleased to welcome this long-established Delaware company to Wilmington," said Purzycki. "CSC has a wonderful reputation worldwide, nationally, and here at home. We are grateful to CSC for expressing confidence in our city and acknowledging the progress we are making by becoming part of Wilmington’s exciting future."

A spokeswoman for the company said no jobs would be moved from CSC's global headquarters at Lancaster Pike and Centerville Road. It's also unclear how many people the company may be hiring.

"The advantage of this new building is the proximity to the Wilmington train station in recruiting employees and attracting new businesses to the area, as well as the opportunity to participate in the City of Wilmington’s growth. At this time, we haven’t focused on the number of new employees we might attract," CSC Public Relations manager Laura Crozier told WDEL  "It’s an innovation hub for us that will be available to our teams around the world for special projects—and a destination for entrepreneurs and startups.

Best,

Laura
