Trike motorcycle accident Northbound Route 141

An accident launching a 43-year-old man from his trike motorcycle is finally clear after roughly two hours and 45 minutes worth of northbound traffic on Route 141 being forced to exit onto Route 4.

The crash happened just before 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

Reports said the man was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision but was taken to Christiana Hospital's emergency room is serious condition after being treated on site for injuries to his head, face, abdomen, pelvis and leg.

Newport Police Department is heading up the investigation into the crash.
