Salesianum's Dylan Mooney celebrates after scoring a touchdown against Dover

Shall we dance?

By Sunday afternoon, we'll know the 14 teams who will earn the right to play at least one more game in 2019.

Woodbridge/Delmar for the Henlopen South, Friends/Tower Hill for the DISC, Milford/Lake Forest for the Bell, and then there's Salesianum/St. Mark's and Dover/CR.

It'll be cold, but it'll be hot on the fields this weekend.

SEAN GREENE – WDEL Sports Director - Last Week 18-2 (90%), Season – 163-38 (81.1%)

Thursday, November 7

Howard over Glasgow, Sussex Central over Indian River, Brandywine over Dickinson (Picks made on Twitter before the games)

Friday, November 8

A.I. duPont (7-2) at McKean (4-5) - 6:00

SEAN GREENE – A.I. duPont 28-7. McKean with a chance to finish with a .500 season, but A.I. duPont is hoping they can do enough to have their name on the D2 bracket Sunday morning.

Dover (5-4) at Caesar Rodney (3-6) - 7:00

SEAN GREENE – Dover 28-14. Dover has done everything they can after the shocking loss to Milford, but they can’t afford to stumble now in this heated rivalry game.

Saint Elizabeth (2-7) at Caravel (7-2) - 7:00

SEAN GREENE – Caravel 31-14. The Bucs have won 12 of 14 since starting 0-5 last season, a victory here would get a young team a chance at some valuable tournament experience.

Lake Forest (7-2) at Milford (4-5) - 7:00 (Cool 102.1FM/930AM)

SEAN GREENE – Lake Forest 14-7. Milford’s best can win the “Battle for the Bell”, but Lake can’t afford to lose this and still dance next week.

Laurel (3-6) at Seaford (1-7) - 7:00

SEAN GREENE – Laurel 34-14. Laurel’s record is the product of challenging themselves week after week, they should snap their 3-game losing streak and end the season on a high note.

Salesianum (5-4) at Saint Mark’s (6-3) - 7:00 (WDEL AM1150/101.7FM)

SEAN GREENE – Salesianum 28-13. All Salesianum can do is win, and hope things throughout the rest of their state go this way.

Cape Henlopen (2-7) at Sussex Tech (4-5) - 7:00 (Delaware 105.9FM)

SEAN GREENE – Sussex Tech 28-13. RB Kevin Custis had a fantastic game last week, and he should get one last chance to spin his wheels and perhaps sneak into the All-State conversation.

Friends (6-2) at Tower Hill (8-0) – 7:00

SEAN GREENE – Tower Hill 14-8. Simply put, no one has any idea how good this Tower Hill team is. Not sure the schedule-maker did the Hillers a solid with the worst strength of schedule in the state, but maybe that’s motivation tonight. Friends must win to make the tourney.

Wilmington Charter (0-9) at Red Lion (6-3) - 7:15

SEAN GREENE – Red Lion 28-6. I hate picking a team to not get a win this season, but Red Lion will have a lot of support from their opponents as a victory here would give a valuable playoff point to their opposition.

Woodbridge (9-0) at Delmar (7-2) - 7:30

SEAN GREENE – Woodbridge 18-14. After all of the emotion of this season, finishing 10-0 this year might be as impressive a feat as anything the Blue Raiders have done over the past decade. This could end up as a rematch next week.

Saturday, November 9

Newark (4-5) at Christiana (1-8) - 10:30

SEAN GREENE – Newark 24-14. A show of hands if you had the Yellowjackets as a .500 season coming into the season. Knocking off Brandywine, McKean, and Christiana to end the year would be a solid run.

St. Georges (5-4) at Concord (5-4) - 10:30

SEAN GREENE – St. Georges 21-20. Concord is in with a win, St. Georges needs things to go their way. Dover and Salesianum will be paying close attention to this.

DMA (6-3) at Conrad (5-4) - 11:00

SEAN GREENE – DMA 26-14. DMA needs a lot of things to happen tonight, winning would be one of them.

William Penn (3-6) at Delcastle (1-8) - 11:00

SEAN GREENE – William Penn 35-7. Not the ending to the season the Colonials would have liked, but winning our last game certainly matters.

Appoquinimink (4-5) at Hodgson (9-0) – 11:00

SEAN GREENE – Hodgson 21-7. Hodgson wraps up back-to-back perfect regular seasons, but Appo’s defense never makes things easy.

FSMA (4-4) at Archmere (7-2) – 11:00

SEAN GREENE – Archmere 35-7. FSMA has a chance to play for an above .500 season, that’s all you can ask, except maybe a first-round home game, which Archmere could get.

Tatnall (2-7) at Saint Andrew’s (5-4) - 12:00

SEAN GREENE – Saint Andrew’s 28-14. Saint Andrew’s can complete its first winning season since 2012.
