A Chinese ship taking a crane to Philadelphia's Packer Avenue Marine Terminal will force a temporary closure of the Delaware Memorial Bridge during the overnight hours Saturday into Sunday.

The Delaware River and Bay Authority, which operates the bridge, announced the Zhen Hua 26 will pass under the twin spans sometime around 1 a.m. Sunday.

Officials say they'll close the bridge, probably between 12:45 and 1:15 a.m. as a precaution and to keep the massive ship from distracting drivers.

The ship will pass under the bridge at low tide.
