A redesigned online tool will help those seeking to start or grow a business in Delaware.

"It's really pretty simple, the idea is to make it easier for small businesses to get registered and get up and running," said Gov. John Carney at the unveiling of Delaware One Stop Wednesday, September 19 ,2019.

Delaware One Stop will also guide users through the steps of renewing a business license or filing as a new employer while also setting up tax withholding using a single login all at one site.

"[It provides] a single, user-friendly mobile platform to form, register, and license a business. Second, it provides a cost-effective common platform that's going to enable us to seamlessly add more online permitting and Licensing activities to this web portal over time," said Delaware Department of Finance Secretary Rick Geisenberger.

The goal is for the website to be a convenient resource helping small business owners check the boxes needed to get their business running.

"Your main thing is generating revenue, creating your products, hiring, growing your business, the main thing should not be sitting in the Carvel building waiting for documents to process and that's the purpose behind this," said Secretary of Labor Cerron Cade.

The new site will also guide users through the steps of renewing a business license or filing as a new employer while also setting up tax withholding using a single login all at one site.
