A 27-year-old Townsend man has been charged with maintaining a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl, Delaware State Police announced Tuesday.
According to authorities, Robert A. Peal was working as a DHL driver when he delivered a package to a Sparrow Run residence on October 8, 2019, and met the victim. They engaged in a sexual relationship that lasted close to two months, police said.
DHL assisted fully with the investigation into Peal after authorities learned of the situation, according to authorities.
Peal surrendered to police on February 17, 2020, and was charged with four counts third-degree rape of a victim less than 16 years old and defendant is 10 years older than the victim and 11 counts sexual solicitation of a child under 18. He was released after posting $375,000 secured bond.
