A 47-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection to a death ultimately ruled a homicide following an autopsy, Dover Police announced Monday.
According to authorities, Keith Landry has been charged in connection to the death of 39-year-old Gerard Landry, who died on August 25, 2019, following an assault on August 20.
Gerard Landry was located around 7:45 p.m. in the unit block of Ann Avenue with a severe head injury, and, while hospitalized, he was never able to communicate with investigators or hospital personnel as a result of the condition in which the assault had left him.
On September 6, Dover Police and the U.S. Marshal's First State Task Force took Keith Landry into custody in the Hartly area. He was charged with manslaughter and possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $50,000 cash bond.
