A Dover-area man was hospitalized for evaluation after a standoff with Delaware State Police ended Saturday.

Glenn Klebart, 49, had a gun, and had made suicidal statements to his wife before he barricaded himself in the couple's home on General's Way Saturday morning, police said.

Klebart fired several shots at an unoccupied, parked car during the standoff, which ended after about 90 minutes when troopers convinced Klebart to give himself up.

The incident is still under investigation, and police said charges are pending.
