The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a fire that has claimed the life of a woman near Rehoboth and completely destroyed a trailer.
The blaze broke out just after midnight Thursday in the 23000 block of Lawrence Lane, Angola Crest II. The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene with flames coming from the house trailer. A female victim was located in the rear bedroom by Rehoboth Beach Firefighters.
The victim was transported to the DE Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy. State fire investigators are still investigating the fire’s origin and cause.
Damage was estimated at $30,000. This investigation continues.
Rehoboth Beach Firefighters were assisted by Lewes Fire Department, the Indian River Fire Company, Delaware State Police and Sussex County EMS.
