Family Foundations Academy

The former Head of School at New Castle's Family Foundations Academy charter school pled guilty to felony credit card fraud and official misconduct for her misuse of a state-issued card during her tenure, the Delaware Department of Justice announced Friday. 

According to DOJ officials, Tennell Brewington, 47, of New Castle, was sentenced to three years in prison, suspended, and two years probation--one supervised, one unsupervised. 

She pled guilty to unlawful use of a credit card and official misconduct for misusing a state-issued purchasing card and must in an amount yet to be determined by the court. She was also issued a no contact order with Family Foundations Academy.
