Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) officials expect to have two closed ramps at the I-95/Marsh Road interchange reopened by 5 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2019.

The ramp from I-95 northbound to Marsh and Carr roads, and the ramp from Marsh Road southbound to southbound to I-95, have been closed for reconstruction since April.

There will still be restrictions on northbound Marsh Road traffic trying to turn left onto the southbound I-95 ramp and onto Carr Road.

It's the first phase of a complete rebuild of the entire interchange. The next phase of the project is not expected to begin until after the new year starts.

Conversely, two lanes of I-95 in both directions at the Brandywine River Bridge are going to be shut down starting Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2019.

Those lane closures will allow crews to make short term repairs to parts of the road surface that have deteriorated in the center lane on both sides of the bridge.

The entire bridge will re-decked as part of the major I-95 rehab project slated to begin in March of 2021.
