A 28-year-old man already incarcerated on unrelated charges was indicted in a 2018 murder, Wilmington Police announced Thursday.
According to authorities, Qymere Maddrey gunned down 39-year-old Phillip Chapman in the 1100 block of Conrad Street around 1 a.m. on August 31, 2018.
Maddrey was indicted by a New Castle County Grand Jury on Monday, December 9, on charges of first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited. He was arraigned Wednesday and issued a $700,000 cash-only bond.
He remained incarcerated on the unrelated charges.
