A 22-year-old Lincoln man was charged in connection to two shooting incidents that occurred overnight Wednesday into Thursday, Dover Police announced Thursday.
According to authorities, Jaquell McDonald shot up several cars in the 100 block of Willis Road around 10 p.m. A witness provided authorities with cellphone photos of a gray Ford truck and a four-door sedan which both immediately fled following the shooting, police said.
At about 12:10 a.m., another shooting occurred in the area of Stevenson Drive in Manchester Square, and reports of a black male suspect wearing light-colored clothing led authorities to stop McDonald, spotted fleeing from the scene, police said.
Police said a .40-caliber handgun and keys to a Ford F-150 were located in the area from which McDonald had been seen fleeing.
He was charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, six counts first-degree reckless endangering, and five-counts criminal mischief. McDonald was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $75,500 cash bond.
