A 27-year-old man was shot in Wilmington early Tuesday morning--not far from the scene of Monday's double-shooting that injured two Delmarva Power contractors.

Police were called to the 1700 block of West 4th Street in the city's Hilltop neighborhood at 2 a.m. on July 23, 2019.  The victim was hospitalized and listed in stable condition.

The shooting comes on the heels of a double-shooting in broad daylight that injured two Delmarva Power contractors, ages 48 and 31, who were installing a new gas main; one of the workers suffered critical injuries.

Both shootings remain under investigation.  Anyone with information asked to call Wilmington Police at 302.576.3649.
