An 18-year-old man was slashed twice during a robbery at knifepoint in Dover Thursday evening, according to city authorities.
Dover Police said the victim was walking in the area of the 200 block of North DuPont Highway around 7:10 p.m. when an unknown male approached him, pulled a knife, and demanded money.
The victim refused, and during an ensuing altercation, the suspect cut the victim's finger and chin, then fled. The victim fled to his own residence and called police. He was ultimately transported to an area hospital to receive treatment for his wounds.
The suspect was described as a black male, 5'10", short "afro" style hair, and was riding a bicycle.
