A 35-year-old Maryland woman who killed a 73-year-old Middletown woman in a head-on crash while driving drunk--her third DUI--is heading to prison for more than 12 years.

According to the Delaware Department of Justice, Michelle Park, of Earlville, was travelling with her 2-year-old in the vehicle in March 2018 when she failed to negotiate a curve along Bethel Church Road, crossed the center line, and struck a Ford Escape.

Three occupants of the Escape were injured, including Gladys Arcuri, who died a few weeks after the crash.

Park pled guilty in June 2019 to manslaughter, two counts first-degree assault, DUI-third offense, and failure to use proper child restraint. She was sentenced to 12 years and three months in prison.
