Just when you thought it was safe to go back onto Route 141 between Barley Mill Plaza and the Tyler McConnell Bridge construction free -  think again.

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) says lane closures will go into effect on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in both directions of Route 141 in that area.

DelDOT says contractors will remove the temporary crossover near Route 100 (Montchanin Road) which was used during the Route 141 reconstruction.

The median will then be rebuilt.

Southbound Route 141 will be one lane from the Tyler McConnell Bridge to the Route 52 overpass.

Northbound Route 141 will be one lane from just past the Barley Mill Road light up to Route 100.

The work is expected to take two weeks.
