A 38-year-old Pennsylvania man arrested during Delaware's efforts to catch up on untested sexual assault kits pled guilty to rape charges, DOJ officials announced Friday.

According to the Delaware department of Justice, DNA evidence linked Hayim Raison, of Chester, to assaults on seven women throughout the Wilmington area between January 2014 and December 2018, during many of which he made violent threats to the victim.

According to the DOJ, "In order to resolve the case with the certainty of guilty pleas and to not put the victims through the difficulty and uncertainty of a trial," the court would accept second-degree rape guilty pleas in two of the cases, while sentencing will reflect attacks against all seven women, and all seven of the victims will have the opportunity to testify before a judge as part of the January sentencing process.
