A man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Smyrna.
Police handcuffed Ernest Jones, 30 of Smyrna, on Tuesday, November 13, 2019, following a month-long investigation.
Police said a search of Jones' residence on the unit block of West Commerce Street turned up 1,335 bags of heroin packaged for sale as well as $2,700 in suspected drug proceeds. Two young children also lived in the home, according to police.
Jones was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, maintaining a drug property, conspiracy, and two counts endangering the welfare of a child.
He's being held in lieu of $15,500 cash bond.
