A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection to multiple burglaries in New Castle County thanks to community tipsters responding to a release of surveillance images of the suspect. 

According to authorities, Jonathon Gaston was the man responsible for a series of burglaries in the communities of Nonantum Mills, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding areas. Officials initially released images of the suspect on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, and received information leading them to Gaston's identity and, ultimately, his arrest on September 6. 

Gaston was charged with felony second-degree burglary, two counts felony third-degree burglary, two counts felony third-degree attempted burglary, three counts theft, two counts attempted theft, unlawful use of a payment card, attempted unlawful use of a payment card. and two counts third-degree criminal trespass. 

He was committed to the custody of the Department of Correction in lieu of $25,000 cash bond.
