Our top stories from the previous week featured dual double shootings, an elderly abuse victim with an unknown identity, a city fire marshal being arrested on DUI charges, and a noose found in a home improvement store:

Everyone followed along as a scary situation unfolded at a Brandywine Hundred assisted living home when police responded to an active shooter call that turned out to possibly be a murder-suicide, according to authorities:

A second shooting incident during the week grabbed attention as police responded to another double shooting at a Wilmington-area restaurant when two men were gunned down:

Authorities asking for help identifying a victim seen on video being abused gripped everyone's attention, and police eventually identified the woman as an East Goshen Township, Pennsylvania, resident, and turned the case over to that jurisdiction.

A top fire official in Wilmington was charged with driving under the influence in Maryland. Court records said he was "so far impaired by alcohol [he] cannot drive safely," when he was stopped.

Everyone had an opinion about a noose found hanging from a spool of rope in an area Home Depot, and the updates that followed regarding reaction from the community. It rounded out last week's top stories.
