Dance Your Heart Out

Christiana Hospital hosted an event where attendees took park in free health screenings and dance lessons

Christiana Hospital hosted an event for Delawareans to shake what their mother gave them in the name of good health.

The Dance Your Heart Out event saw over 200 people take part in free health screenings and dance lessons for a good cause.

Carole Massa came from Wilmington to attend the event.

"This is my third year," said Massa. "It's always very educational, a lot of fun and good of exercise."

Nashyra Council and Joe Figueroa taught different dances and inspired attendees to jump around and get their blood moving.

"The actual movement itself and getting your cardio going-- you're taking in a lot of air which is helping your heart to keep pumping," said Council.

Figueroa got the participants going with some salsa.

"You're breaking a sweat and getting your heart rate up," said Figueroa. "That's always good."
