Wawa is upping the ante on its food offerings.

Known best for coffee and hoagies, the wildly popular convenience store is testing options hamburgers, waffle fries, and breaded chicken sandwiches as a way to compete with other fast-food options.

"As you know, Wawa is always testing new products and offers to ensure we’re meeting our customers evolving tastes and demands. We are actively piloting some options...throughout our chain as part of a larger dinner platform we are testing," Wawa spokeswoman Lori Bruce confirmed to WDEL.

The burgers come on brioche buns and can be ordered with a variety of usual toppings--lettuce, bacon, tomato, pickle, and even a garlic aioli.

Prices vary, but the burgers and chicken sandwiches will be around $5.50 while waffle fries cost $1.99, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The options are only available after 4 p.m.

Bruce wouldn't say whether any of the test locations are in Delaware
