A 33-year-old Wilmington man pled guilty to five robberies at businesses throughout New Castle County beginning in December 2018, the Delaware Department of Justice announced Friday.
According to DOJ officials, Bryheen Mitchell robbed the Rite Aid drug store in the 1700 block of Marsh Road in December 2018, threatening a cashier with a note saying he'd shoot her if she didn't turn over money.
In May 2019, he admitted to committing four more similar robberies at:
- the Walgreens in the University Plaza in Newark
- the Walgreens in the 3300 block of Lancaster Pike in Wilmington
- a Shell gas station in the 300 block of Chestnut Hill Road in Newark
- the Game Stop store in the Peoples Plaza Shopping Center in Glasgow
Mitchell pled guilty to two counts first-degree robbery and three counts second-degree robbery. He'll be sentenced in December.
