A Wilmington teenager will be tried as an adult in a murder trial.
A Delaware judge denied a request Thursday for 17-year-old Aaron Miles, charged in April 2018, in connection to the crime, to be tried as a juvenile in Family Court.
He will instead be tried as an adult in Superior Court for the murder of David Bailey, who was shot in the chest in July 2017 on South Van Buren Street in Wilmington. Bailey was the city's 22nd homicide victim of 2017.
No word on when Miles will make his next court appearance.
