A Wyoming man is behind bars on a driving under the influence charge after a crash that killed an elderly pedestrian.
Bradford Husfelt was driving along Front Street near North Layton Avenue in Wyoming Saturday night when he passed a car on the right, driving onto a sidewalk and into a home's front yard in the process, Delaware State Police said.
Husfelt's car hit a landscaping timber before slamming into a 78-year-old man who was walking on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian died at Kent General Hospital, and troopers caught up with Husfelt at his home.
Husfelt was booked into the Sussex Correctional Institution on a slew of charges including DUI, reckless manslaughter, and driving while suspended.
