James Naylor and Jamir Dantley celebrate an A.I. duPont Touchdown

A.I. duPont defeated Howard 27-6 on a perfect fall weather afternoon at Baynard Stadium.

Howard would win the coin toss and defer to the second half.

A.I. would take advantage of getting first possession of the ball. Chad Jones would connect with Naz'aire Miller on a 74 yard scoring strike less than 2 minutes into the game. A.I. duPont would miss the extra point and lead 6-0.

Late in the first quarter, Howard would be driving towards the end zone, but they would fumble giving A.I. duPont the ball at their own 15.

Midway through the second quarter, A.I. duPont's Chad Jones would be tackled behind the line of scrimmage with the ball coming loose. Howard's Isaiah Kelsey would pick it up and rumble 38 yards for the score tying the game at 6.

A.I. duPont would start their next possession on their own 15. On 1st and 10 Chad Jones would connect with LeRoy Lynch for a 74 yard strike moving the ball to Howard's 11.

On the next play, Naz'aire Miller would go 11 yards for the score as A.I. duPont took a 13-6 lead with 5:09 left in the half.

On the very next kickoff by A.I. duPont, the ball would be touched by a Howard player and recovered by A.I. duPont at Howard's 20.

On the next play, Chad Jones connected with Jamir Dantley for a 20 yard score giving the Tigers a 20-6 lead.

A.I. duPont would score again late in the third quarter as Chad Jones connected with LeRoy Lynch again, this time from Howard's 33. After the extra point was good, A.I. duPont would lead 27-6 and that would be the final.
